StrengthAxis Elite

After considerable thought, I’ve decided to simplify my approach to programming.

I’ve always advised my students against changing training programs too frequently, yet I’ve been guilty of writing entirely new programs every four weeks. While variety has its place, true strength, resilience, and skill are built through consistent practice over time.

Beginning with this training cycle, the Advanced Kettlebell Track transitions to twelve-week training blocks.

Don’t mistake this for less variety. These programs will still include intelligent progressions, exercise variations, and phased development, but every decision will serve a larger purpose: building long-term strength, greater tissue tolerance, improved structural balance, and a body that is more adaptable, resilient, and durable under the demands of both training and life.

I’ve been thinking that the Zero Phase naturally lends itself to a (mostly) bodyweight training approach.

I tend to operate best under constraints, so I’m planning to build about 90% of my training around bodyweight movements or Bodyweight+—simply adding a plate carrier when appropriate.

Of course, external loading still has its place. Rotator cuff work, elbow strength, grip development, and other smaller movements often benefit from dumbbells, kettlebells, or bands, so I’ll continue using those tools when they make sense.

Interestingly, I don’t really think of a plate carrier as “external weight.” Technically it is, but because it’s attached to the body in a cohesive way, it feels more like changing my bodyweight than holding an object.

Less equipment. More capability.

We’ll see where this experiment takes me.

Base members receive full access to every programming track we build, and I’m always happy to answer questions along the way.

Elite is different.

Every Elite member receives my personal cell phone number, and I encourage regular text communication. Send me training videos for technique feedback, ask questions as they come up, troubleshoot pain points, celebrate PRs, or simply check in. Coaching shouldn’t be limited to a scheduled call—it should be available when it matters most.

Over time, those conversations become individualized coaching. We refine your programming around your goals, equipment, schedule, injuries, and lifestyle. We also address the factors that determine long-term performance: bloodwork, nutrition, supplementation, sleep, and recovery.

The goal isn’t simply to give you a better program. It’s to provide ongoing guidance, accountability, and camaraderie so you can continue making intelligent decisions long after the workout is over.

Humans didn’t evolve lifting barbells.

We evolved using tools.

Carrying. Throwing. Digging. Climbing. Swinging. Building. Every culture developed implements that challenged the body in different ways, requiring coordination, strength, timing, and resilience rather than simply moving more weight.

For most of my life, those tools have been barbells, dumbbells, and kettlebells. They’ve served me incredibly well, and they’ll always have a place in my training.

But every now and then you pick up a tool that reminds you you’re still a beginner.

For me, that’s the clubbell.

This 7 kg mill to hammer isn’t particularly heavy, but it demands qualities I haven’t fully developed: shoulder mobility, rotational control, timing, rhythm, and the ability to stay relaxed while generating force.

That’s exactly why it’s staying in my program.

The Zero Phase isn’t about doing less for the sake of doing less. It’s about removing what’s unnecessary while keeping the things that genuinely challenge me to become more capable.

Sometimes the best tool isn’t the heaviest one.

It’s the one that exposes your weaknesses and gives you an opportunity to improve.

Performance Tracks

StrengthAxis isn’t about finding the best tool—it’s about finding the one you’ll use consistently.

Every track is built around the same principles: movement quality, progressive overload, structural balance, and long-term capability. Choose the track that best matches your experience, equipment, and current season of life.

MED Kettlebell Track — Efficient, balanced programming built around the minimum effective dose for strength, resilience, and long-term consistency.

Dumbbell Track — Straightforward strength and hypertrophy training using one of the most accessible tools available.

Bodyweight Track (Beta) — Progressive bodyweight and Bodyweight+ programming requiring little to no equipment. Designed for athletes who value freedom, simplicity, and the ability to train almost anywhere.

Advanced Kettlebell Track — More technical, higher-volume programming for experienced kettlebell athletes seeking an additional challenge.

Not sure where to start? Visit the START HERE page for recommendations. Elite members can always text me, and we’ll choose the best track together.

The best program isn’t the most advanced one—it’s the one you’ll perform consistently for years. Pick your track, trust the process, and let the work compound.
