I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past - Thomas Jefferson

The New Year brings a renewed sense of purpose. With worthy goals and aspirations, we create the opportunity of our impending success. Plan the work, work the plan. Let’s give ourselves the advantage we deserve, and in turn, live to our fullest potential.

It is my hope that StrengthAxis Program Design helps you maintain physical durability in a world that needs strength. Whether you’re novice, intermediate, or expert, hardstyle training isn’t a methodology: it is a holistic practice and lifestyle.

Training

During the Winter season, I focus my clients’ training on heavier compound movements while encouraging a higher caloric load and substantial rest. This isn’t a “bulk” per se, more an appreciation of giving your body the sustenance that it needs.

January Keystone Movements: The Double Kettlebell Stiletto and Staccato.

You’ll find tried-and-true strength accessory movements as apart of our A and B Block, Offset Presses and Squats to round out our C Block. Conditioning will feature a ladder-based variation of StrongFirst Plan 1050 for mitochondrial health.

A Note to Readers - StrengthAxis Program Design is reserved for PAID SUBSCRIBERS. The top section of this article is a preview of September's Program Design. There is a paywall separating the movements and their programmed volume and intensity. If you find value in my coaching expertise, please support me by becoming a paid subscriber.
What’s New With Me

Diana and I have already visited Mammoth Mountain to snowboard/ski and are planning trips each month of the snow season. Outside of winter sports, I am currently on hiatus from Instagram and feel a renewed appreciation of presence.

This isn’t the first time I’ve eliminated social media. When absent, I find myself deep within my interests: history, literature, art, and myriad hobbies. This blog is my best outlet of creation. I will continue to abstain from IG and focus my efforts here.

I also took December off from heavy lifting and instead used Variable Resistance Training via the X3 Bar and Clench Fitness Systems. I’ll link to this experiment when it’s completed. In January I’ll focus on Barbell: 5/3/1 and a customized deadlift plan.

I have been snowboarding for 26 years! I begged my parents to take me when I was 12 years old and the fun has never stopped. Mammoth Mountain, CA.
Christmas with Family! Diana received an accidentally oversized stocking LOL.
